Jammin Josephina

There once was a sixty-year-old lady named Josephina Willows. Even though she has a body of an elderly woman, she has the heart of a child and the soul of a rock n roll singer. Josephina loved rock n roll when she heard her son Erickson play his electric guitar. Josephina decided to get an electric guitar and learn how to play it. She spent most of her retirement money on the guitar of her dreams. She was in love with her new guitar and even more in love with the sounds it makes.

"Mom, try out your guitar. Let me see what you got." Erickson told his mom.

" Okay son, but I warn you, don't laugh when I start to play" Josephina said with a grin.

" I won't mom, I promise" Erickson replied back.

Josephina picked up her guitar and started wailing on it. Dah Dah Dum Dah, to everybody’s surprise Josepina wasn't that bad.

"Mom, that was great, you never told me that you could play guitar?" Erickson said.

"I don't son, it must be in my blood" Josephina replied back. Josephina and Erickson both started laughing.

Later that night they both decided to jam on their guitars together. Dum Dub Dah Dum Waam . . . . Their music was so loud, that everybody in the neighborhood went to see what all the racket was about.

"Look son, we have an audience,” Josephina laughed. The audience all ooed and awed to their music.

Suddenly Josephina had a great idea.

"Hey son, I have an idea, lets form a band. What do you think?" Josephina asked.

"That sounds like a lot of fun mom" Erickson replied back.

Josephina and Erickson called all their friends and decided to meet the next morning. The following morning Erickson's and Josephina's friends met and tried to come up with a name for their band. They thought and thought but they couldn't come up with a name. Suddenly Josephina had a great idea for the name of the band.

"How about Willows Rockers?" Josephina asked her group.

"That’s a great name mom" Erickson replied back.

Everyday the Willows Rockers would practice and every night they got an audience. They became popular in no time and traveled near and far until Josephina Willows played her last tune. From that time on people will remember as Jammin Josephina.
